  • What is surveying and why is it important?

Surveying is the process of mapping a piece of land accurately using tools such as global positioning systems. These tools allow us to create a two-dimensional map of the property. We are able to identify the limits of the land, map the terrain, and more. Surveys should always be carried out before you purchase a property or start any major construction. For example, if you were to build a fence around your residential property, it’d be wise to contact a surveyor in order to know precisely how far your land goes. Without this knowledge, you may encounter legal or personal difficulties in the future, such as building on property you don’t own. Contact the experts at Morris Surveying and Mapping today for reliable and proven surveying services.

  • How much do your services cost?

The costs of each land survey will vary depending on several factors. The price will depend on the survey type you want, the last survey date, and land terrain. Contact us today to receive an estimate on how much a survey will cost you. We accept Credit cards (with a 3.5% fee), check, Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle as payment methods.

  • How do I authorize a land survey?

The first step is to contact us and explain why you want the survey. We can then advise you as to what standards and type of survey is required. We may ask you for a description of the property along with other important information and documents (i.e. title reports, previous survey reports). After we consult with you, we may request a retainer and written authorization to proceed. Call us if you have any questions about this process.
